Bitcoin mining pools with 75% of BTC hashrate join open standard for block construction

Major Bitcoin mining pools, including Foundry, AntPool, F2Pool, SpiderPool, and MARA Pool, along with others, are committing to the Stratum V2 working group. This group aims to implement a new protocol that will empower individual miners to make their own block construction decisions. Collectively, these seven participating pools represent nearly 75% of the global Bitcoin hashrate, signifying a substantial industry-wide move towards decentralizing the block construction process and shifting control from pool operators back to individual miners.
