U.S.-Sanctioned Moscow Exchange Will List Bitcoin on Dec. 1 as Russia Pulls Crypto Trading Home
The Moscow Exchange, Russia's largest financial marketplace, which is currently operating under U.S. sanctions, is slated to commence Bitcoin trading services on December 1. This strategic initiative is being rolled out in alignment with the nation's newly established cryptocurrency legislation, indicating a concerted effort by Russia to repatriate and regulate crypto trading within its domestic financial system. As part of these new regulatory stipulations, retail investors who wish to participate in Bitcoin trading on the exchange will be required to pass specific assessments and will be subject to an annual investment limit of 300,000 rubles.
